Welcome to the Radio Experience, a truly unique team building day. Your team of up to six delegates will be hosted by a radio industry professional in Guildford at the home of commercial radio station County Sound Radio. |
Using brand new studios and the latest technology, you and your colleagues will be transformed into a dynamic broadcasting team who will finish the day hosting your own radio show.
Learn new skills and have the opportunity to practice those essential communication techniques in challenging "live" radio conditions.
Everyone will leave The Radio Experience understanding the true value of team spirit.
FULL DAY The Full Day course lasts for 6 hours.
1. Arrive at The Radio Experience You will be treated to a tour of the radio station before beginning your initial briefing.
2. Presenter Coaching Skills This session will be lead by a radio professional. Here you will learn about effective radio presentation through fun activities including a quiz. You will also research stories which will be used as content for your show as well as your news bulletins and showbiz reports.
3. Studio Techniques In this session you will join County Sound Radio's Station producer. Here you will be taught how to manage the studio, the playout system and the studio desk. You will also learn about time management and the importance of good preparation during the show.
4. Production and Editing Here you will use the latest production software to edit an audio package that must be used within your broadcast.
5. Prep Time Your final chance to plan your show before going 'on air'.
6. Commence 2 hour 'LIVE' programme Using all the skills you have now been taught, your team will present and produce your very own radio show.
| BITE SIZEThe Bite Size course lasts for 3 hours.
1. Arrive at The Radio Experience You will be treated to a tour of the radio station before beginning your initial briefing.
2. Presenter Coaching Skills This session will be lead by a radio professional. Here you will learn about effective radio presentation and what makes good show content. You will also learn how to 'prep' your radio programme.
3. Studio Techniques In this session you will join County Sound Radio's Station Producer. Here you will be taught how to manage the studio, the playout system and the studio desk.
4. Final Prep Time You are 'on air' in 15 minutes. Final preparation time begins.
5. Commence 1 hour 'LIVE' programme Using all the skills you have now been taught, your team will present and produce your very own radio show.
