Helga and Conrad Sturt welcome you the Half Moon.

The Half Moon has been our family residence since 1909. This year is our 100 year Anniversary. The Half Moon is a lovely Country Pub, in the heart of Windlesham. We feel very much a big part of the local community and take pride in offering old fashioned values, friendly service, fine ales, wine and delicious fresh food in the village pub tradition.

With its traditional slate floor and low beams, The Half Moon dates back to the 17th Century and was originally a coaching Inn, it is a traditional privately owned Freehouse and is a perfect example of the very best that traditional English pubs can offer

Operating as a Freehouse, the Half Moon comes into its own as we are able to offer the best classic English ales from award - winning regional brewers. Big names like Fuller's, London Pride from the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick jostle for space with our extensive cask beers, T.E.A. (Traditional English Ale) from the Hoggs Back Brewery in Tongham, Surrey and Doom Bar from Sharps Brewery in Cornwall and other independent family brewers such as Theakstons, along with our cask scrumpy cider, Old Rosie at 7.4% abv.

We take equal care in selecting the wines for our extensive list. Specialising in seeking out traditional and innovative independent vineyards, we offer classical French to the best of New World's wines.

Whether you like the lightness of a Sancerre, the smoky tones of Pouilly Fumé or the vibrantly aromatic Cloudy Bay Sauvignon from New Zealand, you will find a wine for your taste. Or if you prefer a red, perhaps a velvety Fleurie, the complex tones of a Rioja Reserva, or a delicious Cabernet/Merlot from Petaluma estate in Adelaide Hills, Australia.

The Half Moon is a family friendly environment for everyone to enjoy. If you wander past the patio terrace into the large well kept manicured beer garden you will see the extensive Children's Play Area, allowing you to enjoy your time here knowing the children will never get bored! So whether you pop in for a refreshing drink or stay for a meal, Helga and Conrad along with their team wish you a very warm welcome.
