No second runway for Gatwick

The owners of Gatwick airport say they're not interested in building a second runway.

The firm's Chairman Sir David Rowlands says a new runway is not Government policy, nor the policy of the airport.

Some locals feared the new owners would look at expanding.

US-based investment fund Global Infrastructure Partners bought Gatwick from BAA last year.
