County Sound Radio Presenters

Sunday Breakfast with Lyndsey Honour
Sunday 7am - 12pm

Having grown up in Brum, I ventured north to Sheffield where I learnt something very important from my law degree: that I definitely wasn’t going to be a lawyer…

I was lured from the Peaks by the bright lights of London, where I was bitten by the broadcasting bug, spinning tunes to patients on the local hospital radio station – Another One Bites the Dust, The First Cut is the Deepest, any song by The Killers...all request show favourites.

I love music and watching bands live – Pink Floyd reunited at Live 8 in 2005, The Who at Glastonbury 2007 and Brian Wilson belting out Beach Boy classics in the long-awaited festival sunshine in 2005 are a few personal highlights.

Rolling Stones is one band I would’ve loved to have seen when they were in their prime …and Blondie. Actually no, I would have loved to have been in Blondie.

I like my films independent and gritty (Dead Man’s Shoes, 21 Grams, Requiem for a Dream), and my television funny and escapist (Peep Show, Flight of the Conchords, Gossip Girl).

If I could have my time over I would learn guitar from the age of two, front a rock band and headline the Pyramid stage as the sun sets over Glastonbury.

As it is, I’ll happily settle for the next best thing – playing the best songs of all time on the radio, singing along very loudly/badly where, luckily, no one can hear!
